Behind the Doors of the WTO: What Our Students Discovered

The political science classes of grades 11 and 12 had the opportunity to visit the WTO. The students first gained insights into the impressive history of the building right by Lake Geneva, before taking a closer look at the processes and mechanisms of the World Trade Organization.

This visit was made possible by Mr. M., a lawyer at the WTO, who personally guided the group and shared valuable insider knowledge and connections that are rarely accessible in regular classroom lessons. A particular highlight was the brief meeting with Germany’s Ambassador to the WTO, Ms. Heidecke, who gave our graduating students a glimpse into her diplomatic work.

One DSG student summed up the day perfectly:
“We are truly privileged. What DSG offers us in political and economic education is really unique.”
