When children think quickly and ask many questions – recognising and nurturing intellectual potential, with practical ideas for both home and everyday preschool life.
In this talk, psychologist and ECHA coach Felixa Kropp will explore the many facets of high intellectual ability. She will address not only whether and how such abilities can already be identified in preschool-aged children, but also when an IQ assessment may be appropriate.
Further topics will include:
- What exactly is meant by “high cognitive ability,” and can it be influenced?
- Are there specific behaviours that may indicate advanced intellectual potential?
- If so, how can these abilities be supported both at home and in the early years setting?
- When might early school enrolment be beneficial?
This event is intended for interested parents and early childhood educators.
Following the 45–60 minute presentation, there will be ample time for questions and discussion.
