5 days, 164 musicians, 101 performances – join us!
From 18–22 March 2026 (Wednesday to Sunday), the DSG will become a musical hub for 164 young musicians from 15 German schools from Dublin to Doha.
Over three days, 101 performances will take place as part of the regional competition Jugend musiziert, where participants compete for prizes and qualification for the national competition.
We warmly invite you to attend the public competition on 19, 20 and 21 March throughout the day at three performance venues and experience the unique Jumu atmosphere:
🎶 Aula – energetic and vibrant performances, mainly in the pop category
🎶 Choir Room, Campus Nord – quieter tones with classical ensemble performances, including strings and wind instruments
🎶 Evangelical Lutheran Church in the city centre– pianists from age group III onwards performing on a Steinway grand piano
A visit to Jugend musiziert may surprise you – whether through the remarkable quality of the performances by young musicians or through special ensemble formats such as mallet ensembles, harp or viola da gamba.
You may also explore new artistic perspectives in the interdisciplinary category “Jumu Open” or enjoy intercultural exchange with fellow music enthusiasts.
