Political Excursion to Bern – Grade 12

An exceptionally inspiring political excursion to Bern – that was the unanimous verdict of our Grade 12 students.

The day began at the historic residence of the German Embassy, where Ambassador Potzel welcomed us. With his authentic and engaging personality, he quickly won over our 12 Grade students, effortlessly combining insights into his personal career path with perspectives on German policy in Switzerland and current political developments.

The programme continued at the Federal Palace – Swiss politics brought to life. During an excellent guided tour, our students explored the National Council, the Council of States, the impressive Dome Hall, and even reflected on the Rütli Oath and its significance for modern democracy. With so many insightful questions and discussions, preparation for the upcoming exams could hardly have been more dynamic or memorable.
