This year, our Grade 11 students had the unique opportunity to experience remarkable individuals up close at the 18th Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy.
Activists from all continents shared powerful stories of their courageous work in defense of democracy and human rights – often under extremely challenging conditions.
Their moving accounts reminded us once again how precious our own democratic freedoms are – and how important it is for each of us to take responsibility and actively stand up for them.
