German courses in Geneva for all ages and levels
For children (primary school, Years 1–8)
Through project-based learning, children discover the German language in a fun and age-appropriate way.
Classes take place in a safe and nurturing environment that sparks curiosity, fosters a love of learning, and encourages active participation.
Through games, songs, and creative activities, children use the language naturally and gradually build strong foundations.
For teenagers (lower and upper secondary)
Our courses support students in their language development and strengthen both their oral and written communication skills.

German as a Foreign Language (DaF)
This course is designed for children and teenagers learning German as a new foreign language.
✓ little or no prior knowledge of German
✓ gradual development of language skills in line with school requirements
✓ development of reading, listening, and writing skills, with a strong focus on spoken communication
✓ a fun, age-appropriate approach for beginners
German as a Mother Tongue (DaM)
This course is designed for German-speaking or bilingual children and teenagers.

Goethe exam preparation for teenagers in Geneva
Our courses provide targeted preparation for the internationally recognised Goethe-Institut exams.
The Deutsche Schule Genf is an official Goethe-Institut examination centre for teenagers in Geneva and organises exam sessions on campus three times a year, from level A1 to B2.

Language camps and intensive courses
In addition to our regular German courses, we offer formats designed for more intensive learning.
Language camps
During the school holidays, children and teenagers learn German in full immersion and use the language naturally in their daily activities.
Each week is built around a specific theme, offering a fun, engaging and practical approach to language learning.
The programme combines German lessons with creative, sports and theatre activities.
A German-language educational circus camp with ZappZarap will take place from 10 to 14 August 2026.
At the end of the week, children present their work in the form of a performance or exhibition.


Intensive courses
For fast, targeted progress, we offer intensive courses during the school holidays.
In just one week, students strengthen their reading, listening and writing skills, while placing particular emphasis on developing their speaking abilities.
These courses ensure effective and lasting progress.
