A Musical Evening at the German School Geneva
The Strauss evening has become a cherished tradition at DSG: On November 21, we once again had the pleasure of welcoming Mag. Susanne and Prof. Dr. Eduard Strauss, great grandnephew of the famous composer Johann Strauss II. The occasion also marked the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss II.
Under the topic “The Strauss Family on Tour”, the couple shared vivid insights into the key stages of the travels of this renowned composer. Their presentation was accompanied by musical pieces and engaging anecdotes.
The Viennese waltz has delighted audiences worldwide for more than two centuries – and our guests, including students, parents, teachers, and friends of music, had the chance to learn more about this exceptional family and the works of Johann Strauss.
